By using the NineBrains app or this website you agree to these terms. We have kept them short.

1. Who we are
NineBrains is made by BetterFly AI LTD (“we”, “us”). Registered address and company number to add. You can reach us at support@ninebrains.app.
2. Using NineBrains
You must be at least 13 to use NineBrains. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
Today’s five stories are free. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please don’t copy, resell, scrape or redistribute the stories, the characters or the artwork, except by using the share features built into the app.
3. What the stories are, and are not
NineBrains stories explain how bodies, brains and everyday things work. They are for general interest and learning. They are not medical, psychological or financial advice, and they don’t replace a doctor or another qualified professional. Your Money Brain describes how people tend to react to prices and losses; it never tells you what to buy, sell or invest in.
We check every story against published sources and label findings that scientists still argue about. Science changes and we can get things wrong. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it.
Ink’s voice is synthetic.
4. NineBrains Pro
- Plans. Pro costs $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year in the United States. The stores set prices in other countries and show them before you buy.
- Free trial. The annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. We remind you before it ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Payment is taken by Apple or Google, through your store account.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. We can’t issue refunds for store purchases directly.
5. Your account
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in the app or by emailing us.
6. Ours and yours
The stories, scripts, Ink, the artwork and the app belong to us or our licensors. Anything you send us, such as a correction or feedback, we may use to improve NineBrains without owing you anything for it.
7. Fair use
Don’t misuse the app: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer it, and no use that breaks the law. We may suspend access for anyone who does.
8. The legal limits
We work hard to keep NineBrains running and accurate, but we provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited. Governing law and courts to set.
9. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
