Ink, a small octopus with nine brains, narrates five short stories a day about your body, your brain and your everyday world. Then today’s feed is done.
Every morning Ink picks five stories about the strangest thing you own: you. Each one takes a minute or two. Most feeds never end. Ours ends at five.
1
Today’s five arrive.
New every morning, from the series you pick. One nudge from Ink at the time you choose, and never at night.
2
Watch and swipe.
Ink narrates one strange thing about you in three steps, then lands the aha. Swipe up for the next one.
3
Today complete.
After the fifth, the app has nothing more to show you. You leave with five things you didn’t know about yourself and the name of tomorrow’s first story. Miss a day and nothing nags.
Where the feed stops.
Stills from the app. In the real thing Ink narrates and everything moves.
ii. Watch a story
Why you can’t tickle yourself, in three steps.
Every story has the same spine: a hook, three steps and one aha. This is the first one most people will see.
Checked before Ink says a word. Every step rests on a source we opened and read, and the sources sit under every story in the app. This one: Blakemore, Wolpert and Frith, Nature Neuroscience, 1998, and Blakemore, Frith and Wolpert, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, 1999.
iii. The series
Seven series. All of them about you.
Ink mixes the series you pick into your five. Eighty stories are written and checked so far.

Why does the feed end?
Because a feed that never ends is built to keep you, not to leave you with anything. Five stories take about five to ten minutes. Then you’re done, and tomorrow there are five new ones.
How do you know the stories are true?
Every story is built from sources we opened and read, and every step has to rest on replicated science or textbook agreement. Where scientists still argue, the story lives in Myth Busted and says so. So far 22 popular premises failed checking and were dropped.
How do I cancel Pro?
In your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, any time. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription, so cancel in your store settings first.
